The image was captured whilst I was on a photographic retreat in the Blue Mountains, NSW with a fantastic group of likeminded ladies under the guidance of the great Freeman Patterson. At our accommodation there was a little lake that was home to a raft of wild ducks. Just as dusk fell, they would race across the lake to nest in the reeds for the evening, their feathers catching the light and my eye.
